One thing you should know before going is that the Farmers' Market varies in size each weekend. While usually staying within 40-60 vendors, you can never be certain what the market will look like each week, which is only more of a reason to go since it's a new experience every time! However, the market is only open from
8 am to 12 pm so make sure you're up bright and early!
There are three different nutrition assistance programs in place at this market.
SNAP Market Program
The market is an official USDA SNAP-authorized retailer.
SNAP Match
For every dollar you spend, they will match, dollar for dollar, through their funding partner Greaux the Good

Yellow Van Farms:
TLDR: flowers wilt quickly!
This adorable little flower cart was my first stop when I visited the farmers market this past weekend. The arrangements were very creative, unique, and adorable. The main downside with this pop-up is that if you aren't there first thing in the morning, chances are that those flowers will be wilted. The Louisiana sun is no joke, especially on a nice Saturday morning. The pictures below were taken by me around 10 am (two hours after the market opened) and while I still purchased a small bouquet myself, there was a bit of visible wilting on most flowers.

Mel's Cheesecake and more:
This was without a doubt my favorite booth that I visited. Mel's cheesecakes are phenomenal! I purchased one of each of the four flavors she had available in her "cheesecake cupcakes" so that I could get a good sample. Each "cupcake" was $4 and individual slices were $7.
The four flavors in order from highest rated to lowest are:
Chantilly (my favorite)
Bourbon Caramel Apple (my mom's favorite)
German Chocolate
Banana Pudding
